Why I built AI Flux3 — a former motion designer's take on the next generation of generative video.

About AI Flux3

I started AI Flux3 in the summer of 2026, the same week Black Forest Labs announced FLUX 3. After eight years as a motion designer cutting product films, explainer videos, and launch trailers, I had spent more time than most people watching the gap between what a director imagined and what actually ended up on screen. Generative video closed that gap faster than anyone expected — and then opened a new one: most creators still cannot get their hands on the best models.

That is the problem this studio is built to solve.

From timelines to test rigs

My old workflow was predictable. A client sent a brief. I storyboarded it, animated it in After Effects, rendered overnight, and revised the next morning. The craft was satisfying, but the throughput was fixed: one person, one timeline, one version at a time.

When text-to-video arrived, I did what a lot of motion designers did: I treated it like a toy at first, then like a threat, then like a tool. The real shift happened when I started benchmarking models the week they shipped. Not reading launch posts — actually prompting them. Same seed concepts, same camera language, same failure modes. Veo, Seedance, Kling, Wan. Each had a personality: one was better at camera motion, another at human faces, another at keeping objects from melting. I filled notebooks with what worked and what did not.

FLUX 3 changed the conversation because it is not just another video model. The BFL release on July 23, 2026 showed native audio generation up to twenty seconds, text and image and video as inputs, keyframe transitions, multilingual lip sync, and a research direction called FLUX-mimic that points at robotics-grade motion understanding. Even the open-weight Dev version, planned for later this year, matters to someone running costs on a local GPU.

That is a lot of moving parts. Someone needs to translate it into a working studio.

Why I built the studio

The day after the FLUX 3 announcement, I checked the usual provider dashboards. fal.ai and Replicate did not have FLUX 3 endpoints yet. They still do not, as of today. That is normal — API access is limited to early partners at first — but it creates a strange window where search interest is high and useful tooling is low.

AI Flux3 is my answer to that window. I am building the studio around models that have third-party inference access today, with Seedance 2, Kling Video v3 Pro, and Wan 2.5 in the planned launch mix. The moment FLUX 3 Video opens to third-party APIs and passes integration checks, it can become a first-class option inside the same interface. No pretending that a waitlist is an endpoint.

I also wanted the honesty to be right from the start. The site does not claim to be affiliated with Black Forest Labs. It does not show another model’s output as FLUX 3. When FLUX 3 is available, you will know exactly where it is used. Until then, the "FLUX 3 Early Access" option is a waitlist for an availability notice.

What I care about

Real outputs over marketing renders. When showcase videos are published, each one should name the model that actually generated it.

Transparent economics. Credits are priced against the underlying inference cost with a sustainable margin. They never expire, and failed generations are refunded automatically.

Creator ownership. You own the videos you generate and can use them commercially, subject to the upstream model license. That should not be a premium feature.

Keyboard-accessible, fast software. I am allergic to landing pages that take four seconds to become interactive. The studio is built to load quickly and work cleanly.

A few words on the name

FLUX is a trademark of Black Forest Labs Inc. AI Flux3 is an independent project. The name reflects the model family this studio is organized around, not an official partnership. I have tried to make that clear everywhere it matters.
